Now that spring is nearly here once again out gardens are a place we like to spend some time in. Beautiful crisp, spring mornings bringing a breath of fresh air are enough to set us alight after the dark dingy winter.

There are many incentives to get you and your family out in the garden but one I found last year which was particularly successful was trampolines. Having 3 children under the age of 7 was bound to help but really I never expected we’d spend quite so much time on the trampoline.

Spending time with our families can often be something of a juggling act so when you find yourself just naturally spending more time socializing with your family than ever before you know you’re on to a winner.

What I found was that every day when I came home from work the kids were already out in the garden bouncing around. I would simply get out of my work clothes and into some shorts and t shirt and go and join my family in the garden. That spring and summer saw us eating more in the garden than ever before, a perfect way to spend time enjoying the one’s we love.

Start by making sure that your sub-floor is completely level, your sub-floor is the floor you’re intending to lay the laminate on. First establish whether your sub-floor is wood or concrete as this will confirm how you need to level it.

With wooden sub-floors there is a choice of two materials. The first option is to use hardboard; this comes in sheets of either, two feet by four feet or four feet eight feet. Plywood is by far the better material over hardboard as it will leave a very solid sub-floor on which to lay your laminate flooring. If you’re in doubt as to what material you should use then it’s probable best to go for plywood rather than hardboard.

For those of you who have a concrete sub-floor there are a number of self-levelling compounds you can use to level the sub-floor. Also, if you have a concrete floor you will need to lay a membrane down prior to starting the next section.

Having prepared your sub-floor you can now turn your attention to the laminate. Always start by fitting the underlay to the sub-floor first. Either glue or staple your underlay to your sub-floor and use duct tape for all joins as this will ensure your underlay moves as little as possible.

After you have fitted your underlay securely to the sub-floor you can start to lay the laminate floor. With your back facing the door start laying the boards in the far left hand corner of the room. Lay the laminate boards from left to right allowing a 5-8mm gap with spacers. Having moved across the entire width of the room your last piece of laminate will need to be measured and then cut to size so as to fit neatly leaving a 5-8mm gap at both ends.

Having laid for first row of laminate repeat the same sequence for row 2 and 3. So long as you have used enough spacers between the laminate and wall or skirting your three rows should be pretty well lodge in place and not moving about.

Once you have your three rows secure just continue the procedure until you reached the other side of the room where you will need to measure and cut the final boards.

Your feelings about the place where you wake up every morning can set the tone for every day. There have been studies whose results show that the average person spends the bulk of their time in their work and home environments. If you work at home, the effect that your home has on your mood is critical. If you like how your home is, you will have an easier time dealing with life overall. Below, you’ll learn about ways in which you can develop your current living space into a real personal haven.

Really consider how important comfort is to you. No-one’s home is entirely perfect, but sometimes it’s the smallest things that provide you with the greatest discomfort when you are there. Think about making things more comfortable by fixing the little things, such as replacing an uncomfortable computer chair, or straightening a crooked shelf. Getting a new mattress for your bed will also make a big difference in your comfort level and life.

Good organizational skills can only help you so much if you have run out of space in your home. Sometimes, you just need to have more room. Even adding on a small space to your home can make your space feel bigger, add storage room, and decrease your overall stress.

You can add value to your home and increase your enjoyment by installing a pool, sauna, or hot tub. Other things that you can do include adding exercise equipment or creating a basketball court in your garage. These are cheaper alternatives that still provide great fun. Fun areas in your home will bring you money in the long run.

Be sure to examine your lighting. Just by altering it a little bit can bring a drab, dark spot to life and it can make an area seem more appealing. Sometimes just replacing the bulbs can make it a brighter place, and it is such an easy thing to do. Ratcheting up the complexity a bit, you could alter the light fixtures themselves, giving your home a fresh look.

Try planting a garden to add color and greenery to your yard. Use a small part of your yard as a vegetable garden, or plant flowers around your mailbox. Perhaps you do not feel qualified to undertake such a project, but you can easily hire a gardener and you will still feel enjoyment and satisfaction in your garden. Another benefit of greenery is an improvement of air.

You can enjoy and be proud of a nice update to the exterior of your house. New siding or windows can usually succeed in distinguishing your house from the others around it. Every time you approach your home, you will marvel at how good your home looks.

Because you spend much time in your home, having one that you are satisfied with is very important. Home improvements are generally just seen as a financial investment, but they are an investment in your emotional well being as well.

Those who don’t budget their money find that life gets very complicated very quickly. Many youngsters will feel that they have large quanties of money and therefore they don’t need to budget, don’t be fooled into this belief we all need to budget.

For those of you who have just started working and are still living at home a very simple budget will be sufficient for your needs.
As a rough guide follow the tips below.

• Money for food and lodgings, you should always give a part of your income towards the cost of your food and the utilities such as electric, gas and water. In the event that your parents are overly generous and let you live rent free ask them to put aside the money you offer for rent as a start towards savings.
• Calculate what you are spending on social activities such as clubs or groups you may be a member of.
• Clothing again is something we all need so be sure to allocated a proportion of your budget to this.
• When you are young you want to experience all you can so be sure to include something in your budget for holidays and trips.
• The younger you start learning to save the easier it becomes the older you get, always allocate some of your income towards savings of some sort. You should be saving at least 15% of all money you earn.

Whiplash Injury Claims

Whenever people hear the word accident they immediately associate that with a car accident, and it is perhaps the most visible danger that we face in our lives. Road accidents are the cause of really bad injuries and far too many fatalities every year. Although car manufactures and governments have done much to improve road safety there is still a large element of danger. Many, however, never consider the implications of being involved in a car crash; neither would they know what to do about it if they were ever to be involved.

Firstly I can’t stress enough the importance of getting good insurance cover. If that is in place you are off to a good start. Otherwise the resulting financial implications could be impossible to overcome.

To get the most from your insurance policy these days, however, you may need to get professional help. For example, you may not even be aware of the possibility of making a claim. Take for example the situation where you are involved in a whiplash injury. This often occurs when a car runs into you from behind. You may only be aware of a slight pain in the neck and believe it will wear off in a couple of days. In reality it is torn neck ligaments and may impact on your ability to earn money for a considerable period of time. Your friendly insurance company probably won’t tell you about this, because it will cost them money. We on the other hand will, and not only that, we will do all the administration as well, leaving you free to get on with what is more important to you.

If you think you may have a whiplash claim then contact our whiplash claims service, for advice on getting full Whiplash compensation.

No matter what kind of accident you have been involved in, why not contact us before you make a car accident claim and see how we can help you. It may make all the difference between financial survival or not.

Car Batteries

With many more cars being sold on a daily basis it’s no wonder that car manufacturers are coming up with new gadgets and gismos to entice new customers. There are many ways in which car manufacturers have won the hearts of loyal customers through design as well as functionality. An interesting fact is that many people will stay loyal to the first brand of car they purchase. Psychologists will tell you that this happens because people don’t want to have too many choices.

Well, all this may be changing with the advent of the electric car. Electric cars run solely from the power of the car battery , using no other fuel and emitting no harmful gases. The future is green the future is good! Why has it taken so long to get enough power from the car batteries to efficiently run a car?

Back in the early Eighties I came across an electric car this car had a top speed of 60mph and could travel from London to Bournemouth on a single charge. So why has it taken so long for car manufacturers to catch up. A cynical man may tell you that it’s due to large oil companies that electric cars have never become mass produced; I tend to agree with this.

A car battery can give all the power that’s required and if we re-charge stations rather than gas stations then the world would be a safer and environmentally friendly place. Car batteries will be the future for powering cars whether manufacturers or oil companies like it.
